Hotel Features

Location.Wild Dunes Resort is a 1,600-acre oceanfront resort located in Isle of Palms, S.C., on the tip of the Isle of Palms barrier island. The resort is adjacent to two miles of unspoiled white-sand beach. Downtown Charleston is 12 miles away.
Features. Wild Dunes Resort features two golf courses, designed by Tom Fazio, with a total of 36 holes of championship golf amidst sand dunes near the Atlantic Ocean. A salon with spa services offers specialized facials and body treatments, as well as signature hair care. The resort features a seafood-specialty restaurant, a family restaurant serving contemporary fare, an upscale market, a casual deli and a seasonal beachfront cafe. Wild Dunes Resort provides several outdoor pools, including two oceanfront pools, a children's pool and a lap pool. The Tennis Center, features 17 green-clay courts, UPSTA-certified instruction and organized tournaments. A children's and family recreation program is designed to entertain toddlers, youngsters, teens and adults. Other amenities include water sports equipment and bicycle rentals.

Guestrooms. The Wild Dunes Resort features the 93-room Boardwalk Inn and The Village at Wild Dunes. The Village offers 125 rooms, suites and up to six-bedroom homes. Guestrooms at both the Boardwalk Inn and The Village include complimentary wireless Internet access. Select accommodations feature screened porches or open decks, fully equipped kitchens, washers and dryers, and two or three bathrooms. Other amenities include cable television, VCR or DVD players and CD players.

Expert Tip. The Acme Cantina is said to be one of the oldest buildings on the island, and is home to an array of specialty meals and drinks.

Please Note: Starting on May 20, 2008, the property's beach will undergo a coastline restoration project. This project might affect the beach's accessibility in some areas. The scheduled completion date is June 29, 2008. This date is subject to change.

This property collects a destination fee, a resort fee, an accommodation tax and state taxes. Fees are determined by the property and are subject to change.

Resort fees include complimentary resort transportation, and provide guests with access to the beach, pools and tennis courts (some restrictions apply).

Driving Directions

From the Charleston International Airport:
Take the airport exit on Ward Avenue.
Turn right on Fain Boulevard/Fain Road.
Continue on Core Avenue.
Turn left on West Aviation Avenue.
Take Interstate 26 East.
Take the #212 Exit.
Merge onto Interstate 526.
Take the US-17 Exit.
Turn left (North) on US-17.
Turn right on Isle of Palms Connector (Highway 517).
Continue on SC-517 over the Intracoastal Waterway onto Isle of Palms.
Turn left at the foot of the bridge onto Palm Boulevard (Highway 703).
Continue following Palm Boulevard North, parallel to the ocean.
Follow the Wild Dunes Resort directional sign to turn right on Palm Boulevard extension.
Follow the road to the stop gate.
Turn left into Wild Dunes Resort Reception Center.
